Created this key prop for an animated short that was being developed by The Story Hat. I was brought in as a freelance sculptor to help make some props for a short they were working on. This was to be a key prop with many close-ups and a lot of screen time in the begin. I did extensive research on tattoo guns and modeled all the pieces of a standard professional tattoo gun – from o-rings to wiring. All the pieces of the gun is animated and works exactly like the reword version. The hand bones were sculpted in zBrush with the UVs laid out in Lightwave. It was a fun project.
